Joel Lipsky is the Founder and CEO of Virtual Construction Assistants (VCA), a remote-staffing firm that helps construction businesses streamline operations with skilled virtual support. A third-generation builder and entrepreneur, Joel brings real-world experience and a deep understanding of construction workflows into the virtual space—bridging the gap between field operations and modern business efficiency.
In addition to leading VCA, Joel is also the CEO and President of Lipsky Construction, a Long Island-based general contracting firm. Since joining the family business in 2022, he has overseen major projects like over 300,000 square feet of site development for FedEx, the historic restoration of Montauk Manor, and the award-winning reconstruction of the Nathaniel Rogers House, which received the Jeffrey J. Zogg Build New York Award. These projects reflect the craftsmanship, planning, and leadership Joel brings to every aspect of construction, whether in the field or through virtual support.
At the core of Joel’s vision is a simple belief: construction moves forward when we blend tradition with innovation. That belief drives VCA’s mission to deliver modern staffing solutions while honoring the values that built this industry—trust, skill, and follow-through.
Joel serves on the board of directors for the Associated General Contractors of New York State and chairs its Next Generation Construction Council. He has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of small construction firms, advocating for the future of the skilled trades.
